About GreenlightUPS: Critical Power Since 1981

GreenlightUPS supplies uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, UPS batteries, and critical-power service to facilities that cannot go down. The company was founded in 1981, is headquartered in Deerfield Beach, Florida, and serves customers nationwide.

We work with facility managers, IT and data-center managers, managed service providers (MSPs), and healthcare and industrial buyers. Our job is to keep the equipment you depend on running when utility power fails.

How long has GreenlightUPS been in business?

GreenlightUPS was founded in 1981 as an electrical contractor. In the late 1990s the company became a UPS-only business, and it has grown substantially since then. The core services we offer today are the same work we have done all along, now at a much larger scale. That gives our team decades of hands-on experience with UPS systems. The company's legal entity is GreenlightUPS Holdings LLC.

What does GreenlightUPS sell?

GreenlightUPS sells three things:

  • UPS systems, new and refurbished, from small edge and office units up to enterprise and three-phase systems.
  • UPS batteries and add-ons, including battery modules, replacement battery cartridges, extended-run cabinets, network management cards, transformers, and rail kits.
  • Critical-power service, including installation, preventive maintenance, battery replacement, and repair.

Our catalog is organized by application: Edge UPS, Server UPS, Enterprise UPS, Edge Office UPS, Medical / Industrial UPS, UPS for Panels, and UPS Add-Ons.

Which UPS brands does GreenlightUPS carry?

The GreenlightUPS catalog includes equipment from APC (Schneider Electric), Eaton, Vertiv, Liebert, Tripp Lite, Powerware, MGE, Toshiba, Delta, Dell, HP, HPE, IBM, GE, AEC, Powervar, SolaHD, and N1C. See the full list on our Brands page.

GreenlightUPS is an authorized partner of AEC. We install, maintain, and repair all UPS brands, including units bought elsewhere.

Brand names are trademarks of their respective owners. Apart from AEC, listing a brand does not imply that GreenlightUPS is an authorized dealer or that the manufacturer endorses us.

What is the difference between new and refurbished at GreenlightUPS?

Every product we list carries a condition label. We sell two conditions, New and Refurbished. We never sell used equipment.

Condition What it means
New Never put into service. Includes NOB (new, open box) and unused surplus.
Refurbished Previously in service and fully refurbished end to end: inspection, testing, cleaning, parts replacement, load testing, and more. Sold with a 1-year warranty.

Every unit we ship, New or Refurbished, gets brand-new batteries, and everything is checked before it ships. All inventory, refurbishing, and testing is done in-house at our Deerfield Beach facility.

Refurbished UPS systems let buyers get enterprise-grade hardware for less: customers can save up to 70–80% off MSRP. New equipment is the right choice when a project requires new hardware or the latest model. Read our refurbished vs new UPS guide for help choosing.

What warranty comes with a GreenlightUPS UPS?

  • New and Refurbished units carry a 1-year GreenlightUPS warranty.
  • AEC units carry the manufacturer's warranty instead: 3 years on VRLA units and 5 years on lithium units.
  • Batteries inside a unit you buy are covered by that unit's warranty.
  • Batteries GreenlightUPS supplies and installs on-site: the batteries and the installation carry a 1-year warranty.
  • Batteries and battery trays bought on their own, without our installation, have no formal warranty, because we can't control the environment they are installed in. If a problem comes up within a reasonable time after delivery, contact us and we will work with you.
  • Extended warranty options are available as an add-on.

What critical-power services does GreenlightUPS offer?

GreenlightUPS provides nationwide service for UPS systems, done by our own technicians. Our service offering covers:

  • UPS installation and startup
  • Preventive maintenance
  • UPS battery replacement
  • Emergency UPS repair

We install, maintain, and repair all UPS brands, including units bought elsewhere. We do a lot of three-phase service and installation, with no size limit.
