GreenlightUPS is an authorized AEC partner. We sell AEC units new only, and they carry AEC's own manufacturer warranty instead of ours.
Are the batteries covered?
It depends on how you buy them.
- Batteries inside a UPS you buy from us are covered by that unit's warranty.
- Batteries GreenlightUPS supplies and installs on-site carry a 1-year warranty on the batteries and the installation. See UPS battery replacement.
- Ship-in battery replacements and customer-supplied batteries are not covered by that 1-year battery warranty.
- Batteries or battery trays bought on their own have no formal warranty, because we can't know or control the environment they are installed in. If a problem comes up within a reasonable time after delivery, contact us and we will work with you.
Can I extend my warranty?
Yes. Extended warranties are available as an add-on. Ask us when you order, by phone at 954-366-3070 or by email at sales@greenlightups.com.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Contact us with your order number and a description of the problem, and we will tell you the next steps. Please don't ship anything back until we reply with instructions.
What does "Refurbished" mean at GreenlightUPS?
A Refurbished UPS has been fully refurbished end to end before it is listed. All refurbishing and testing is done in-house at our Deerfield Beach, Florida facility. The process covers:
- Inspection
- Testing
- Cleaning
- Parts replacement
- Load testing
Every Refurbished unit then gets brand-new batteries, is checked again before it ships, and carries a 1-year GreenlightUPS warranty.
What do the condition labels mean?
We use two conditions on every listing: New and Refurbished.
- New: never put into service. This includes new open box (NOB) units, which are new, never-used equipment whose original packaging has been opened.
- Refurbished: not new, and fully refurbished end to end, as described above.
We do not sell used equipment. Whatever the condition, every unit we ship gets brand-new batteries and is checked before it ships.
Should I buy refurbished or new?
Refurbished is a strong fit when you need proven enterprise hardware on a fixed budget: customers can save up to 70–80% off MSRP. New is the right choice when a project or contract requires new equipment or the latest model. Our refurbished vs new UPS guide walks through the decision.
What if I need to return a unit?
Returns are separate from warranty. Most new, unopened items can be returned within 30 days of delivery, and returns of opened or refurbished items are at our discretion. See Shipping & Returns and our Terms, which are the governing text.
