Which UPS systems use the SYBT5?
APC Symmetra LX systems and Symmetra LX extended-run cabinets. APC lists it as the Symmetra LX battery module.
Are the batteries new?
Yes. The tray is refurbished, the batteries inside are always brand-new, and every module is tested before it ships.
Is the SYBT5 hot-swappable?
Yes. Symmetra LX battery modules can be swapped while the UPS keeps running.
Does the SYBT5 have a warranty?
No. Loose battery modules and trays are sold without a formal warranty.
Can you fix or replace a bad SYBT5 board?
Yes. We build new SYBT5 boards in-house (SY5PLUS), and we can reprogram your existing boards if you ship them to us.
Can you replace the modules for me?
Yes. Our technicians replace Symmetra LX batteries on-site nationwide, and old batteries are recycled free.
Is there a full revitalization package for the Symmetra LX?
Yes. We can supply SYBT5 battery modules with brand-new batteries, SYPM4KP power modules and a SYMIM5 intelligence module as one package, and our technicians can install it.
Can I add runtime with more SYBT5 modules?
Yes. SYARMXR3B3 and SYARMXR9B9 extended-run frames add battery slots. The frames are sold on their own, with SYBT5 modules as an add-on.
Can I replace the batteries inside my own SYBT5?
Opening the module and swapping the cells yourself isn't recommended. The simplest fix is a refurbished SYBT5 with brand-new batteries already fitted. If you'd rather keep your original communication boards, ship them to us and we'll reprogram them in-house.
How many SYBT5 modules does my Symmetra LX need?
It depends on the frame and the runtime you want. XR frames add 3 or 9 slots. Tell us your model and we'll match it.
